This story takes the student step by step through the eye doctor appointment. (It remembered more parts than I did!) The Boardmaker sentences at the bottom allowed my nonreader to have success.
I thought this was a great overview of what a child could expect when they go to the eye Dr. Thanks.
Very clear. The child loved it.
Was a great resource, just too many words for my student. :)
The text, paired with the graphic, is great for my student. This resource was easy to use and helped ease the anxiety of the visit.
The subject is an important one and this book helps children come to terms with possible anxieties and can be used as tool to strategise a way to overcome this and develop a coping plan.
Thanks for the work you put into these amazing free resources. I have used several of your social stories as a basis for personalising stories for specific students with ASD. having your stories gives me guidance to ensure that I am heading in the right direction. As we are in New Zealand, things are a little different in regards to terms used so I change these words and add personal pictures which helps to make the stories personal. Thanks for your help teaching aluable social skills.
A very helpfull material. Thank you!
