Description

Free Social Story What Is Puberty? ( Girl Version) : This Package Includes : 15 pages

Puberty can be a difficult time for teens and parents. Parents find the time challenging as they have to explain the changes that are taking place,  appropriate social skills and, help the teen cope with changes happening in their body. As part of my puberty section, I am trying to break down some of the issues that are relevant to teens with Autism and developmental disabilities.

What exactly is puberty? How does my body change? What happens? How Will I Feel?

Hope this books helps you. This book is available in a girls and boys version. The story is the same, but one story is for the boy and one story is appropriate for the girl.

This free social story can also be used as part of a reading program or behaviour management program.  Use the book to talk, ask questions and answer questions.

This is a great ABA Resource, school education program, social story and free printable worksheet for your students as part of a home living program, parental resources and school program to reinforce important skills for children with Autism and other developmental disabilities.

The resource can be laminated for longevity and used in the classroom or at home to help your child learn an essential life skill.

Last page - for protective behaviours teachers don't 'love' students. also girls don't have shave - that is a society pressure.

I really like this simplistic approach to what can be a anxious time my students with autism. It has clear illustrations and simple language which can stand alone or encourage discussion as appropriate. Thank you.

I've got a lot more social stories I'm interested in, thanks for making them available for free. We are a fixed low income family.

    Easy Language

Very easy to undestand through the chosen language and the pictures. My 10 years old could relate to the body changes and was very interested in the story! Good conversation starter
