Learning about animals is fun. Learning about the enviornment around a child is very important.  This book can be used in a preshcool program to teach about Savannah Animals, learn savannah animals names, matching and visual discrimination as part of a science curriculum, or a work center.  
 
The African savannah, the savannah with which most people are familiar, is home to a wide variety of animals. Some animals you may find in the savannah are warthogs, elephants zebras, rhinos cheetahs lions and so much more. If your child has developmental delays such as autism and is in a older class, this adaptive book is a great way to introduce and learn the names of animals found in the Savannah. You can pair this school education program with some of our other Savannah programs.

The I See Adapted Science Books were designed to include Identical and Non Identical Matching. They are in levels to reinforce learning in three fun and engaging books while working progressing the student through the academic skills of matching, printing and writing.

Learn about science and savannah animals in this fun and interactive adapted book.

This adapted book works on the several academic skills and works on Visual Discrimination.

The book works on the skills of matching, word development, recognition and the category animals.

 
 
These books can be used in a traditional academic setting and, in a ABA program to practice  classroom skills and, the application of the target of learning categories in the natural environment.  Use this in a reading program ,  speech development,  science program and/or ABA programs.
 
The levels help a teacher who may have students at different levels in the classroom. The teacher can teach one lesson with each student receiving a book to their level. The books can also be used for special education students in a science, speech math, printing programs as supplementary education to reinforce specific academic skills.
 
Teacher Instructions for Level 1

 

Level 1 Adapted Book does not require the child to use a pencil. Laminate all the sheets. Cut out the squares in the back. 
             Place velcro on the squares and on the answers. The child can answer the questions and formulate the sentence by using 
             velcro.
 
Level 1
            is designed to be easy to use. The book practices identifying the attributes of what, the number  and the colour of a group of               items. The child will work on sentence development, and comprehension. The books are in categories allowing thebooks to  be used in various subjects and ABA programs.

 

Teacher Instructions for Level 2
 
Level 2  Adapted Book  requires the child to use a pencil.  This is a good book for the child to learn academic skills, while working on               printing skills.  This book can be laminated and a dry eraser marker used.
 
Level 2
           is designed to work on printing skills , sentence development and comprehension, while practicing identifying the attributes of              what, the number, and the colour of the group. Flashcards are provided to help the child spell a word they may not know how  to spell.
 
Teacher Instructions for Level 3
 
Level 3  Adapted Book, the child prints the sentence independently. The child should be able to print without tracing. It is okay if the                child is messy.  Some children require more practice than others. This book can be laminated and a dry eraser marker used.

           the child prints the sentence without aids. is designed to work on printing skills , sentence development and comprehension,                while practicing identifying the attributes of what, the number, and the colour of the group.

    This is one of the best resources that I have encountered. this has honestly helped my child recognized and understand the different animals. I cant wait to get the other habitat book!
