Many children can experience anxiety when visiting a Dentist. Visiting a dentist is not in the normal routine for a child. This can cause anxiety for the child. A child may not know what to expect. They maybe scared from all the instruments and prodding in their mouth. Sensitivity issues may prevent the dentist from putting something into the child's mouth. I know my own son had anxiety when visiting the Dentist. But now Niam is happy to visit the dentist. Using this social story helped to prepare Niam to what was going to happen.

You can take the book with you and read it at every step. Be creative and let us know how you used the book.

There are many challenges I have faced with taking my child to the dentist. Plus he is scared. This is a great book helped us to talk about a real life experiences and expectations.
