Description

This Book Has 14 Pages

I personally do not have a daughter. However, I have heard from many parents who have a daughter with Autism, or other special needs and, they are constantly saying there is not enough  materials  for girls. I kept that in mind when creating my special education materials, especially health education.

I created this free social story, " I Can Have Cramps During My Period" to  help explain the pain a teenager may feel.

This story can be used in conjunction with other aba therapy, or in a heath education class as a adapted resource.  It can be used as part of a school education program or by parents to explain what Is happening or going to happen when a girl gets her period.

The resource can be laminated for longevity and used in the classroom or at home to help your child learn an essential life skill.

Check out our other great social stories for teachers and students. We have many social stories you can download for free for your students to use in a school education program, aba or part of a aba therapy program.

Leave a comment, this helps us make better materials and, helps other parents and teachers, join the community and help others.

They are printable worksheets for preschoolers, early readers, visual learners and as Autism Education Resources

I think it’s great to have this resource. However, I’d have liked to be able to adapt it. I felt that the symbols made it too busy. I would also have liked the option of changing the picture so reflect the experience of a wheelchair user.

This is exactly what I needed for a student with autism. I would like the option to have no or less pictures above the text, but it still will be helpful!
